In New Delhi, the BJP organized a rally in Burari to express gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making certain decisions. These decisions included resuming land mutation in rural villages and eliminating the need for no objection certificates for power connections in some areas of the city. Virendra Sachdeva, the Delhi BJP chief, referred to these changes as a "Diwali gift" for villagers and residents of unauthorized colonies. He highlighted that these issues were resolved after BJP MPs met with LG VK Saxena. Sachdeva praised the Modi government for addressing the demands of the people by removing the requirement for departmental NOCs for electricity connections in unauthorized colonies and non-conforming areas. The AAP criticized the BJP, accusing them of trying to claim credit for the work of the Delhi government and misleading the public. Sachdeva emphasized that the BJP is dedicated to addressing the needs of Delhi's residents. He stated that due to restrictions, elders were unable to transfer their properties to their children, but after BJP's intervention, these restrictions were lifted. He also mentioned the removal of the DDA's NOC requirement for electricity connections in unauthorized colonies. Sachdeva confidently stated that the BJP is poised to win the upcoming polls in Delhi and promised to extend electricity and water subsidies to middle-class households. The focus will be on the implementation of the Prime Minister's housing scheme, Ayushman Bharat, and the regularization of temporary workers such as home guards, bus marshals, and guest teachers. Addressing the AAP government about the demolition of slums, Sachdeva emphasized that under the BJP's leadership, no colony would be cleared without offering alternate housing to its residents. Additionally, he assured that the Yamuna River would be free of pollution within a year through the Nirmal Yamuna Plan.
